The EW-D SKM-S Base Set by Sennheiser offers freedom - pure and simple. Not just because it gets rid of cables for you, but because you're free to pick to from a large pool of different compatible wireless microphones. There's no microphone included as standard, but Sennheiser offer various optional microphone capsules that can be connected to the included EW-D SKM-S transmitter. Digital Precision

The 'D' in EW-D represents digital, which in this case means advanced digital technology that's able to very efficiently divide up the frequency spectrum. As such, even when using multiple EW-D systems at the same time, there's minimum interference, excellent AD-DA conversion and a huge dynamic range. The noise floor is far out of reach as well, so vocalists needn't fear their vocals distorting when singing all-out.

Sennheiser have outfitted the EW-D EM receiver with a bright display and an intuitive menu-structure, but where things get really interesting, is with the EW D Smart Assist app. This handy app keeps you up to date with signal strength and battery status but also allows you to manage the frequency spectrum which is great whenever you're using multiple systems at the same time. While that may sound complex, the set-up process is practically automatic and largely based on useful presets.
